As the powerhouse and visionary behind Archetype, Bill Lahr provides innovative thinking, dynamic leadership, and extensive knowledge of the financial services industry to the Archetype team and its clients.

“I’ve identified what I believe to be an all-star team of experts who are completely focused on the total client experience. It is my belief that instead of hiring a person for a job, you work to understand the inherent strengths of an individual first. This team was and continues to be built around the specific strengths of each individual.”

Eight years ago, while working at Merrill Lynch, Bill spoke of “changing the paradigm." Bill has focused his efforts and the efforts of his team on creating a planning-based approach that helps clients to achieve their financial goals.

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and management consultant, Bill has been a business coach to executives within the Fortune 50 as well as a planning and strategy coach to Fortune 500 companies. His experience has allowed him to identify what works well, where companies tend to fall down, and how to create a leading, world-class organization. “As a practicing financial planner, I’ve had the opportunity to touch every aspect of planning and experience many unique scenarios – daily, real time, real life.”

During his time at Merrill Lynch, Bill held positions in business development, product strategy, financial planning, and sales leadership across industries and within each suite in the Merrill Lynch family of products.

Developing strong relationships with his clients, both professionally and personally, is something that Dennis Beadle is very passionate about.  “The more I know about my clients, the easier it is to understand what is important to them to help ensure that their financial situation reflects their personal and emotional perspective.”

Dennis has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner since 2007 and has spent his career cultivating deep relationships with generations of clients, many of whom he’s worked with for 20+ years. “The focus of my business is connecting with my clients to learn what is important to them, what interests them, what their passions are, and where they want to go in their lives.”

His focus on educating his clients stems from his years as a high school social studies teacher from 1974 to 1983. In 1978, Dennis spent seven weeks in India through Columbia University as a Fulbright Scholar. In 1983, Dennis decided that instead of occasionally helping friends with their taxes, he would pursue a profession within the financial industry. Dennis spent seven years at Shearson Lehman/American Express as a financial advisor. From 1994 to 2005, he was a financial advisor at Smith Barney and from 2005 to 2012, he was at Merrill Lynch.

“I educate my clients to make sure they understand their investments and the various potential outcomes. The more information my clients have, the better prepared they are to make informed financial decisions. In getting to know them on a very personal level, I am able to anticipate their needs and work with them to build a strategy that helps them attain their goals.”
